Founded in 2003, Elan, formerly Wedding Gown Specialists (WGS) initially focused on the treatment of bridal wear and couture garments. Aware of the harsh effects some dry cleaning chemicals can have on the natural finish of certain fibres, Elan created a whole new method of cleaning, which focuses on the individual handling of each stain, with treatment being altered dependent on the staining matter and the material.

In recent times the company has applied its specialist textile treatments to an ever widening range of pieces and styles, utilising up-to-the-minute textile knowledge to expand the brand's services into the four main factions of Couture Cleaning, Preservation, Restoration and Vintage Wear.

To ensure the best treatment, Elan offers a complimentary private consultation service, during which your piece will be assessed by an expert consultant, who will view and inspect the condition of the piece and provide you with a detailed report, highlighting any areas requiring specialised attention.
